Faith’s Law
Synopsis: Notice to parent, guardian, or custodian. Requires a law enforcement agency that produced a written report naming a minor child as the victim of a crime to: (1) make a reasonable attempt to notify the parent, guardian, or custodian of the child about the report; and (2) inform the parent, custodian, or guardian of the minor child of the right to access the report and to provide the contact information of the victims advocate of the local prosecutor’s office;
Provides that both parents of a child must be notified if they are never married, divorced or adoptive parents and have been identified in an action under I.C. 31-14, I.C. 31-15 or I.C. 31-19.
