Using the Web for Social Change

An important tool for social change and activism is the World Wide Web and Internet. Effective use of the Internet allows for us to communicate rapidly with each other and also distribute much needed information at little or no cost. Gone are the days when we slaved away at a word processor creating our newsletter to be stuffed in envelopes, taken to the Post Office and mailed at a substantial cost.

The Internet needs to be taken advantage of to facilitate the change we need. However, we should not abandon all other forms of activism and simply rely upon the Internet to do the work for us.
